Yoram Dvash, born in Israel in 1964, is one of the leading figures in the Israeli and global diamond industries.
In 1991, he founded "Dvash Diamonds," which over the years has become one of Israel's leading companies in the field, specializing in the production of square and round diamonds weighing up to 5 carats. The company operated diamond offices and jewelry stores in the United States, China, Hong Kong, and Israel, establishing a strong global presence in the diamond and jewelry sector. Yoram Dvash's company signed a unique contract with the Russian government, granting it access to a steady supply of rough diamonds—an achievement secured by very few companies.
In April 2020, Dvash was elected President of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) after serving as Vice President and a member of the federation's executive committee for four years. He served for five years as President of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), one of the largest diamond exchanges in the world, and continues to lead the Israeli diamond industry on the global stage.
Key Roles in the Israel Diamond Exchange Presidency
2013: Entered public service after being elected first place in the IDE Managing Board elections. He served as Honorary Secretary, Chairman of the Industrial Committee, and Chairman of the Marketing and Public Relations Committee.
2015: Elected as the 10th President of the Israel Diamond Exchange, and in 2017, reelected for a second term.
After lengthy negotiations with the Israel Tax Authority, Yoram Dvash signed a historic agreement on behalf of the Israel Diamond Exchange to transition the diamond industry from a unique tax system to a standard bookkeeping model. This agreement established, for the first time, transparency in the taxation of the diamond sector as a whole.
Initiated and led major development projects to expand the Diamond Exchange complex, including the construction of three high-rise towers of 120, 88, and 77 floors. These projects will add more than 700,000 square meters to the Diamond Exchange complex in Ramat Gan and strengthen its position as a leading international diamond hub.
Established a modern production center in Ramat Gan and a research and development department for diamonds weighing 10 carats and above, aiming to preserve local production in Israel.
Developed Get Diamonds, an international digital diamond trading platform, which has become the official platform of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses.
Real Estate, Development, and Investments
Yoram Dvash invests in dozens of real estate projects in the United States, Israel, and Germany.
In addition, Dvash is an angel investor in Israeli startups, and in 2024, he led the largest group of investors in RUNI Ventures, Reichman University's venture capital fund, where he also serves as a member of the Investment Committee.
Another branch of his activities focuses on promoting economic initiatives in Africa, including the establishment and management of agricultural farms, advanced water transportation projects, and irrigation systems. These initiatives integrate Israeli expertise and partners with local entrepreneurs
